The UPS wensite has a listing of Access Points that receive packages. If one is handy, you can just specify your name with the Access Point address on the Tracfone order page. I think a common use is for people getting a package while traveling.

So here's an update on my $300 reward certificate order. My last order in July or August of 2022 was recalled and I have not ordered since.

I placed an order for a Galaxy A53 5G and a Moto G Power last Friday. I have checked the order status each day. True to Tracfone style, checking order status was a pain as most times I click submit, the page would refresh back to a blank Track Order page. It would take about 20 times before I would get the status. I checked earlier today and the order was still at "Pending remote fulfillment". But UPS just delivered my order a few minutes ago. I received both phones although the Moto G is a refurb in a white box (order page for the phone does not say refurb).

So there you have it - for those wondering!!! And thanks everyone for this great community.

If you got charged $69.99 for the G Power and didn't have to buy an airtime card for it, then it's likely not a refurb. There have been posts from other members saying they got new phones in a white box. Does the box have a warranty sticker on it? If yes, does it say 1-yr (new) or 90-days (refurb) ?

White box has a single sticker on it, SKU TFMTXT2165DCWHP and the IMEI. No warranty sticker. I suppose the lack of the 90 day round refurb sticker means its new. Whatever. LOL.
    Inside the box is:
    Phone (manufactured Jan 2022)
    USB charger
    USB cable
    SIM tray removal tool
Attention place this label on WiFi calling device sticker
    Tracfone T&C
Red Tracfone start here with IMEI & SIM number

Yeah, without a clearly stated warranty period it's hard to tell if it's new or refurb. But I think the fact that you didn't have to buy a required time card for it tends to make it a new one.

I ordered 2 new Moto G Powers in late November when they were half price as part of a Black Friday promotion. They both come in the white boxes and not the usual retail plastic clam shell packaging. I could tell that they were new because when I went into Settings, the "Uptime" was either zero or some few number of minutes which corresponded to how many minutes the new phones had just been turned on.

Yes now that I think about it, the plastic on the phone is the same as the new phones (with the fancy red wordings) whereas the A51 refurb that I bought last year had a clear bubbly film on the screen so I guess the phone is new.

So what is the best strategy to replace an existing phone on my account with this new one and get the old phone off the account. I recall reading that you can no longer remove a phone off the account using self-serve once it is no longer active...

In January I used a $300 coupon code and got a Samsung A53 and a Moto G Power 2022. The Moto came in a white box but it looked like a new phone and seems ok.

I just did it this afternoon, replacing a refurb iPhone XR with a new iPhone11 by doing a transfer, then removing the XR from the account so it could be sold. Following are the steps.

    1. Log into your account that has the old phone.
    2. Click on ACTIVATE, select "I want to keep my phone number", then from the drop-down box select the phone number of the old phone.
    3. TF will text a code to the old phone. Enter the code on TF web site.
    4. Provide information about the new phone (TF-sold, want to use the physical SIM, give its IMEI). Click SUBMIT.
    5. It should display "Activation Request Submitted". The old phone should stop working very soon, then the new phone starts working.
    6. Go back into the account, click on Manage Lines. You should see the new phone and the old phone (renamed to Inactive Old).
    7. If you select the old phone and try to "Remove it from account", it will tell you to contact TF C.S., but no needs to do that.
    8. Log out of your TF account on the web site.
    9. Run the TF app on a mobile device and log into your TF account. It will display the new phone and the old Inactive phone. Select the old Inactive phone and select Delete Device.

If step 9 sounds contradictory to what I posted in another thread, it's not. The difference here is that your old phone no longer has a phone number attached to it (its number was transferred to the new phone). In the other thread, if the OP's phone was let to expire, it still has a phone number attached to it and you can't remove it yourself.

Same procedure for UPS stores, but they charge a $5 fee.

thanks for the info , very interesting you sort of went around the system in place in a way lol, you dont even use my choice..

clever if it works which it seems to for you hehe.. I don't know if I need it right now but very interesting ....
