    Free phones

I just ordered a line ($40 plan) online and got a free moto G 5g. zero due on phone, just $40 plan fee. Lot's of free ones to choose from. I would have ported but you need to go to a store for that. Can I call to port after I get the phone?

I do have 10G hot spot on this $40 plan. Nice surprise as I thought it had no hot spot.

Metro's website is worst. The only way I've managed to get it to work is in a Chrome incognito window. Also, only new customers can buy phones online. Existing Metro customers must go to dealer.

It may have been a Christmas special that let me get it online. I was also a new customer. Ironically I had to get a new number to buy online. Usually to get a free phone you must port. To port I would have had to go to a store. I dropped to the $30 plan after first month. I used Firefox if that mattered.

I heard people were having problems with their website. Just refreshed once or twice and purchase went right through! According to some, buying the Moto G 5G with the $40/month plan (phone is free) and not renewing after the first month (NOT selecting autopay), waiting the 6 months and phone will still unlock even though you had no plan the last 5 months! Fingers crossed.
