Yes in fact leave them on a charger indefinitely it's pretty inevitable
Swelling happens to phones with removable and non-removeable batteries. My Stylo 3 battery was removable and the Fiestas aren't.
I don't like leaving the battery on the charger past 100% and sometimes remove them just below that. No matter how careful I was, the Stylo and 2 Fiestas bloated. I used them for hours almost daily for years, rotating on & off the charger.
The frequency of charging and continual use for years will probably stress any battery whether small or large. Eventually they reach a limit.
I've had an old 2g AT&T Samsung flip that was stored for years and its battery started swelling. I didn't charge it very often while stored.

If the Fiesta is that puffy it's a real danger that it might blow. I've heard that bloated batteries can catch fire.
There are battery kits for phones that have non removable backs, but you'd have to have some skills to do it. There are YouTube videos on the subject.
I figure the replacement batteries are old and won't be as good as the oem. I read Amazon reviews that said as much and even included a picture of one that bloated.
I really like the Fiestas for their battery life and good sized screens. I really will miss them as daily drivers. I'm going to see how the used battery works for my Stylo 3. It's 3200mAh not 4500 like the Fiesta's, but in some ways they're similar.
There are used Stylos listed on eBay or wherever cellphones are sold if a person wants a phone similar to the Fiesta. The Stylo 3 is about the same size as my Fiestas.
It's too bad they don't make all batteries removable but I guess they figure by the time the battery goes, the network technology updates and the person will need a new phone to keep up.

I was thinking that due to the age of the Stylo 3 that despite being 4g, it probably won't activate anymore. I just want mine for WiFi use.
Here's the Phone Scoop link for its specs. It says GSM and that would be a game killer for TF activation anyway.

The Stylo I bought on eBay came and it booted up and worked. I was able to transfer the battery to my old Stylo and get it working again.
The battery isn't going to be as long lasting as the old one but I felt it was better buying one this way than a battery that's been sitting on a shelf not getting charged for years.

When I was looking at the Stylo's phone specs on the Phone Info app, it says it's a CDMA device, but said it detected 4 towers. AT&T.
The phone ran on TF Verizon but there were different versions, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost. It has to be capable of "GSM" or "CDMA" service even if the SIM was TF-VZ.
It's nice to have it working again, it has a nice screen.
