"Set Wallpaper" data usage

Set Wallpaper, uses over 2Gb data/month.
I have a limited data plan.
How can I restrict data usage in this category?
I changed my screen lock wallpaper to a generic/default, which had no affect. Stopped background data usage, which had no affect.

There is a way to change a setting in your phone settings called an APN that will block data usage, but not voice calls. If you need help with that, feel free to reach out to the community. If you do need additional help, we would need to confirm the exact Make/Model of phone that you are using.

Any chance the you installed any type of Wallpaper application on your phone?

I have never had wallpaper use data on my phone for day-to-day usage, only when downloading an application or new wallpaper images to add to my gallery. Then again, I do have a postpaid plan.

That sounds like the culprit to me, also. Check your apps. If there is one called "Set Wallpaper" or any with the words "Backgrounds" or "Wallpaper" in it, delete it.

I would delete that app immediately. If you are on Android there are rogue apps that look like things like wall paper apps but do nefarious things like crypto mining or data theft. As they get discovered they get pulled from the store but there always seem to be new ones...
