Clearly, whoever bought it has more money than brains. To each their own. I realize the phone is a collector item in their eyes and not likely to be removed from the box/shrink wrap seal. I doubt it could even be activated any longer with any US carrier and who would want to?

Only worth something if it were in the original, shrink-wrapped box. Nowadays there is no telling what people with money will be willing to spend.
