Moto G Power 2021: calls diverted to voicemail in 50% of all calls

My mom uses Tracfone's Moto G Power 2021.

Suddenly she started to get this problem: incoming calls diverted to voicemail in 50% of all calls. Outbound calls are OK, data is OK too (Whatsapp inbound calls work).

My mom is 80 y.o. and she does not install any app by herself.

    TF customer services is useless.

Any idea what should I troubleshoot?

    Network reset already done.
Signal reception is excellent and Wi-Fi signal is strong too (Wi-Fi calling is enabled).

I am thinking about buying iPhone SE 2022 or Samsung S21/S22 (not Plus or Ultra) because it looks like these cheap phones do not work well on Tracfone (this is not a first problem with mom's Moto and not first Moto).

My mom uses phone for internet browsing/Whatsapp/Facebook, so, very expensive phone does not make sense and I bought this Moto from TF website with big discount, but it looks like the phone is sucks.

Impossible for a customer service rep to answer with any certainty. Reminds me of the old expression of nailing Jello to the wall. Plain and simple, if there is insufficient cellular coverage, for any reason, the calls will be transferred to voice mail. There could have been recent changes to her closest cellular tower that are affecting her local coverage. Coverage is NEVER guaranteed with any carrier. A different phone may or may not make a difference. Impossible to predict the result.
    Just another day in paradise.....

I finally found the root cause of the problem. This Moto (and few other Motos) do not work well while connected to Xfinity public internet. The phone automatically (no setting for wi-fi preference selection : cellular first or wi-fi first) switch to wi-fi calling and wi-fi calling does not work well on Xfinity network.

The solution is to switch to home router wi-fi or to disable wi-fi calling.

This problem does not exist on other phones (my Samsung works on Xfinity wi-fi without any issue).

    Interesting discovery.

Well, Wi-Fi calling (from the carrier) doesn't save her any money, so if there's no reception problem at home, you might as well disable it and keep calling cellular. She can keep Wi-Fi on for web surfing on any connection that's handy.

Yep, turn off the WiFi calling and see how it goes.
