They seem to have good people and plans, I chatted with customer service and was impressed. I also like the idea of the $2 a Gb data upgrade if needed for a plan boost in a billing.
Maybe Verizon and T-Mobile would be a good mix and just ditch ATT. But it's all about the network at your home location and where you travel.

You're 100% correct about US Mobile plans and their customer service. Their CS is off shore, but even calling them perfect clear English you can understand. They mentioned working on possibly getting ATT too but who knows how long if ever.

the places i spend most time if was to have only one service would probably be ATT, but for dual service it completely changes and the mix of T-Mobile and Verizon is perfect. Verizon was solid talk and text reliability and T-Mobile for optimal data experience.

in locations i spend time ATT tends to be better than Verizon for data and better than T-Mobile for T&T but not the best for either

I believe their free trial plan requires a port in, and I don't mind the $10 if it means it keeps T-Mobile reps from opening and adjusting my plan. I have heard too many stories about screw ups and my grandfathered ONE is set up for maximum discounts.

Getting a number to port in is not costly.

With a friend on gFi Flex, 50¢ per day it takes to port, assuming you don't use their data much.

I went to Verizon to get their service for a free 30 day trial, so I can compare it to T-Mobile at home and on a trip in a few weeks.
I'm thinking about the $5 plan Warp 5G plan on US Mobile as an emergency fall back service now. You can even suspend it for $2.98 a month until needed I believe. It's only 500Mb, 500 Talk + 500 Text, but that should be plenty if you don't really need it. Still, the $10, 2Gb is pretty attractive for just chump change, and something I might actually use. My monthly data use is always less than 10Gb. That also includes several speed tests that can use up to 1Gb each. And I have an unlimited data line.

    Didn't know that!

I selected the $25 plan one month ago after my 100-day free trial, and it had 0GB hotspot then. I was bummed and thinking that I would need to upgrade to a higher priced plan. Funny that US Mobile never sent me anything about the addition of 5GB hotspot to the base plan.

PS Been very happy with US Mobile since my switch after many years with PagePlus.

Somewhere in this forum the changes were mentioned, and also that if you want to change to the new features for your plan you need to go into your account and there's a button to specifically do it. Otherwise you'll stay on your original. I got an email mentioning all the new plan features not just the plan I have. Went into my account, found the button and wham bam, done.

Just a heads up, if you’re porting from Verizon prepaid, call in or chat to do the port.

Their app port section on account number info only inputs numbers, Verizon prepaid has a letter before the numbers so the account number comes back incorrect.

CEO recently did an AMA which you can find here https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/co...a_thing_going/

They are also running a Black Friday/ Cyber Monday promo which can only be accessed by new customers who are invited by a US Mobile customer. (if anyone wants a referral you can send me a pm). Or, if any spots remain on Monday, the deal will open to everyone for a limited time: https://www.usmobile.com/cyber-monday

    - 12 months Unlimited Starter $250
you can compare the details of the starter plan here: https://www.usmobile.com/plans

If uncomfortable with paying a year in advance, they have a trial offer: https://www.usmobile.com/get-started

    - Free 50 day trial + $100 prepaid card
    - Free starter kit or instant activation with eSIM

or sign each one up as separate?

The small-print for the free trial makes the free trial offer look a lot less attractive than "50 days free + $100 prepaid card", at least in my opinion. (I guess that's why it's in small print! )

    Copy+pasted from their website below.

"Get 50 days free with 50 GB of data and Unlimited Talk & Text through the entire trial period when you transfer your number. Get a $50 prepaid card after 12 months of continuous paid service on one of our Warp 5G or GSM Unlimited Data or Shareable Data plans (minimum $10/month). Port-in a second line on a paid plan (minimum $10/month) to get another $50 on the prepaid card after 12 months of continuous paid service on that line. Paid service must start within 2 days of the end of the free trial for both the first $50 prepaid card and the additional $50 prepaid card associated with the port-in of a second line. Eligibility for all prepaid cards is evaluated a minimum of 12 months from the date of number transfer. New customers only. 50 days free limited to one line for new customers. Certain credit cards may not be eligible for use when signing up for the free trial. Customers are not permitted to use phone numbers or devices that have previously been active on a US Mobile line. Transferring your number from some select carriers is not permitted. May not be available/combinable with other offers or promotions. The prepaid card is valid through the expiration date shown on the card at which time any unused balance on the card will also expire. Other restrictions apply. While supplies last."
