Thanks. I’ve started doing some work on this last night and will get back to it in the coming days as I see more feedback. I am by no means an expert in the prepaid/MVNO space, so what you all have to say I do value, even if in the end it doesn’t look exactly like what you might want to see.

Frail, your efforts are appreciated by both the mods and community at large. If I had any practical experience with such site design, I would happily help out, but that is far above my pay scale.
    Just another day in paradise.....

I don't have any objections as long as the terrible idea to merge flanker brands with their postpaid forums doesn't happen. I have zero interest in postpaid and I won't ever check those forums.

I do agree with merging all the TracFone forums although time will tell how long Verizon even keeps the TracFone branding.

I would change the H2o forum to H2o/PureTalk as they're the same parent company and maybe consider adding a Lifeline/ACP subforum as more and more people are finding themselves stuck with Lifeline service or are using their ACP credit and there are an inundating number of options now, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

I don't intend to do this. As far as I'm concerned, the likes of Visible, Cricket, and Metro are prepaid brands even if they are owned by the big three.

there used to be more sub-forums for other MVNOs, but got consolidated to general prepaid because they hardly had any activity.

if you are searching for a dedicated place that only deals with a specific mvno, I suggest going to google and searching the mvno name + reddit

reddit kind of replaced what forums do in a lot of ways

Please don't mess too much with forums for carriers "on their way out" or "ghost towns"... I think that is part of the issue in creating new forums -- Once you create a new forum, you do a disservice to the users of that carrier when you think about deleting that forum, even if there are only a few remaining. Having that history and accummulation of past issues, solutions, etc is a precious resource that would be a big loss if deleted. ... Not to mention all the possible broken links (particularly from other sites) that might be created by deleting or moving things around...

Nothing is planned to be deleted, threads are simply merged into another forum and will still be accessible. Each thread/post is given a unique identifier that won't change regardless of its location.

We have almost a quarter century of wireless history contained within this site, and don't intend to expunge any of it.

Hard to wrap my head around this.
Visible (by Verizon) receive $20 off the first month. Please use referral code: 36csHv - https://www.visible.com/get/?36csHv

I will be Judged on how I helped the poor, sick & others in need; strangers & loved ones alike.

    My plans:
    Visible (Verizon) UTTD $25/mo
    T-Mobile Gold Rewards $10yr exp 12.25.23
    FreedomPop (AT&T) Target $4.99 once 100 TTD a month each 29th

While the changes will take some getting used to, I think this has cleaned some things up nicely and appreciate the solicitation of feedback from us! (I regularly visit the Cricket board, so clicking through AT&T Prepaid/Cricket->Cricket is an extra step, but makes logical sense.) I'm glad the flanker brands still get a subforum as most of the posts will be unrelated except for the underlying network—much like folks being against merging postpaid vs. prepaid of the same brand due to different billing systems.

There's been a lot of talk about forums dying and while I'd assume engagement is less than years ago, I appreciate how most of the conversations on here have a certain level or technical interest or problem-solving. Reddit can be a good resource, but one has to filter through a lot of posts that aren't that useful (a slow 5G connection not being a "real" 5G connection, complaining about an issue that isn't even related to their carrier, not wanting to learn the "rules" for things such as bill credits or device payments, being factually wrong and using their high Reddit usage as a qualifier, etc.) It's a little geekier here, but still friendly for those who want to learn and I appreciate that.
